Many links for this aircraft are dead.  However, here are a few which are not only active, but lively.

I downloaded my plans here: PouGuide

You can order parts, kits and get general info at Falconar Avia, in Canada.

Other helpful sites are here and here.  As I get to know both Administrators better, I will try and do some cross-promotion.

I finished the rudder and will now sand it for covering.  It is an easy build.

I will next cover it with Poly Fiber Medium weight fabric.

I am still deciding on colors and design, but I think something along the lines of a 1930s traveling airshow, with a carnival-feel to it....

I can't believe 3 more weeks have passed.  I Poly Sprayed the rudder and it's all set for the artwork and paint scheme.  At this time I am going with a traditional design in Red and Ivory.  Old-fashioned colors.  I order 1 Quart each of the paint and will have it in this coming week.

I also ordered the wood for the fuselage (the skeleton of it anyway):  7/8" x 7/8" spruce capstrips.  I'll order the 1/8" birch plywood next.  The wood should be here this coming WED, 02 JUL 14.

I am very happy to have found an engine that should work well for mt Flying Flea.  It is a 1991 BMW R1000 engine that developes about 65 hp.  We will try and make it dual ignition, getting some redundancy for safety and 5 additional horsepower.  Stay posted!

Painting the Rudder.  I have debated whether to go with the original text seen in many photos, or try for some 1920s-30s whimsical French art, and for now I went with the lettering.  Though my font size and type may be off, in the end it's the same information and nothing I'm ashamed of.  Also, I could have made up a stencil that would have guaranteed near perfect painted letters, but instead I went for a hand-painted (humbly honest) job.  If you stand back a few feet, looks OK.  Flying past, looks better!
