FRI 19AUG2016  Middlebury, CT

Today the FAA arrived at N41 to certificate my aircraft- Amateur Built Light Sport Aircraft.  I'll soon beginning flying off the requisite 40 hours within a 40NM radius of Waterbury Airport, N41.  A good day!

SUN 25SEP2016 - Simsbury Car Show and Aircraft Fly-In

On this weekend I decided to take the Flea out to see what everyone thinks of it.  I rented a U-Haul Auto Transport and loaded the Flea onto it a day early, so I could pick everything up very early and get on the road.  The airport was only a mile away, and I was grateful for the many back roads I could use early in the morning without much notice.

Everyone at the show was friendly, had lots of questions ("hmmm...no rudder pedals and no ailerons- how does it fly?") and I even won a trophy in the category of Special Interest!

I think the next time I prefer to fly in and out, rather than haul a trailer.
